About the Exhibition

Little’s Painting Diary is a vibrant celebration of her unique culinary journey, filled with everything from the nostalgic, mouthwatering Taiwanese street eats she enjoys in her daily life to the adorable desserts she relishes during weekend indulgences and the grand banquet dishes at year-end parties.

Rendered in bold, expressive watercolors, her sketches capture not just the colors and textures of each dish, but the very essence of the experience. It’s almost as if you can taste the flavors, feel the emotions, and sense the warmth of the hand-drawn brushstrokes. This exhibition features a carefully curated selection from her food diaries and the watercolor masterpieces she crafts on a daily basis. Through her art, Little weaves a tale of deep affection for food—each meal a personal story, a quiet reflection on life, and a bold, creative take on the beauty in the everyday.

Flipping through Little’s pages for the first time might leave you thinking, “Is this a secret menu at a hidden gem?”

An office worker by day, Little started by casually recording the flavors she discovered after work, moments of pure delight for the taste buds. What began as a simple hobby slowly grew into something more, evolving into one perfectly crafted journal after another. These watercolors and ink sketches are not just food. They’re fond memories, preserved, savory, and unforgettable.

About the Artist – Little Su

天成文旅-華山町《華山町特展-美味記憶》插畫家Little

A native of Banqiao, Little’s creative journey began in the Department of Chinese Literature at Soochow University, where she fell in love with writing and comics. After stepping into the world of animation and web design, she now channels her passion into being a senior editor at a publishing house.

Little initially started with self-taught watercolor, where she created captivating sketchbook illustrations. Her work quickly caught attention, earning a feature from Yahoo×Tumblr and an invitation to exhibit at the Creative Expo Taiwan. There, she showcased her iconic Taiwanese street food watercolor series, and her talent was further recognized when she was selected as one of the “Taiwan Talent 100” emerging illustrators. In her spare time, Little has actively worked as a food illustrator, engaging in illustration creation, teaching, and commercial collaborations. She was also invited by the Yotta platform to teach an online food illustration course. Little is also highly skilled in mobile photography and was awarded the Sunset category championship at the IPPA (iPhone Photography Awards), becoming the first Taiwanese winner. She has also collaborated as both a photographer and illustrator with Apple.
